Tonight oldest boy went out and sprayed the weeds in the backyard. Our backyard is all landscape rock, which was put over what was previously a lawn. So a lot of weeds are popping up. From the top window, his mom found him running around with the weed sprayer and told him to stop because he wasn’t getting the weeds as well. He said it was much funner that way. Then she told me she was surprised that he didn’t argue back when she asked him to do the chore. That surprised me too. Strange.
Then the little girls started yelling at him from the upstairs window, then trying to hide before he could see them. They continued to have fun doing it until baby girl (the one that seems to be injured all the time) peeked up, yelled at her older brother, then immediately dropped back down to hide, only to have her chin hit the window ledge, which has a fairly sharp corner. She cut her chin and it bled a bit. Pretty much a standard night at our home. It would have made for some funny family videos. Too bad I didn’t think of it. I’m working on it, I mean on remembering to grab the camera in such zany situations.
